Save the Date – Madison School Curriculum Night – Thursday, September 12
Join us for Madison School Curriculum Night (parents only please)! Parents are invited to meet your child’s teacher(s), all staff and PTO Executive Board members. This is your opportunity to hear grade level plans and expectations and to clarify any questions about Madison School. This evening is not meant to conduct parent/teacher conferences about your individual student, but rather to provide an overview of the year ahead.

  • 6-6:45 pm – Grades K-2 Curriculum Presentations
  • 7-7:45 pm Grades 3-5 Curriculum Presentations

Parents are invited to tour your child’s classroom, explore the weCreate Lab in our MRC, meet specialists,* and meet the PTO.

* All Specialists (Art, Music, PE, Differentiation, Reading, and Math Specialists, Social Worker, Speech Pathologist, OT, PT, Foreign Language, Resource, Pupil Service Administrator) will be available in their individual classrooms.

Dismissal Update and Clarifications
Thank you again for your help and patience as we work to improve some of our procedures at Madison. We appreciate your feedback! Please read below for some clarifications and updates.

Students Leaving Independently (not waiting for a parent):
Students will be dismissed at 3:05 pm and can exit through the gym foyer doors or back parking lot doors (updated). Please remind your child to cross at the crossing guard and follow all safety rules when walking home. If your child is meeting a sibling or siblings, students can wait at the door (gym foyer or back parking lot) and then all walk home together.

Students Walking Home With A PARENT Or Another ADULT:
(FRONT KINDERGARTEN DOORS)
Students walking with a parent/another adult will be walked out by a Madison teacher or staff member. Students should line up with a teacher on the red line with their indicated grade level. Please help us keep these areas clear and do not pick up your child until they make it to the appropriate grade level line. Students need to stand on the line so we can keep the stairs and doorway clear for other grade levels. This will help us dismiss students safely and efficiently. Thank you so much for your help with this change!

Students Picked Up In The Car-Rider Line:
(BACK PARKING LOT DOORS)
This is for students who are picked up in a car by a parent/other adult. Students will be walked outside by a Madison teacher or staff member and wait with the grade level until their ride pulls up in the line. Please help us move the line quickly by pulling all the way forward.

Changes To A Student’s Normal Routine:
If an emergency arises and you need to change your child’s normal dismissal routine, please call the office. Please keep in mind the office needs enough time to convey your message to the teacher. If you have a pre-planned change please send a note to your child’s teacher the day the change will occur.
