Remote Learning Feedback
Thank you so much for all you’re doing to support remote learning at home. The District will be administering a Remote Learning survey to parents and students (grades 3-8) by email starting on Monday, April 27 and will be accepting responses through 4 pm on Wednesday, April 29. We appreciate your participation and prompt completion! Results will be reviewed by our staff on Friday, May 1, so we can address any needs in a timely manner. More details will be included in Monday’s District email.

Revised Course Placement Information – Grades 3-8
On April 20, the Board of Education approved the 1-year revisions to Math/ELA/ACE placement criteria, placement appeal process and summer bridge. The revisions were made for one year because of the Remote Learning circumstances and because we are not administering Spring MAP. The approved revisions for placement and appeals can be found at the CCSD181 website. Just a reminder, individual student data, including NWEA MAP data, can be found within Skyward under the menu option β€œTest Scores.”

Course placement letters for the 2020-21 school year will be made available in Skyward for all students entering grades 3-8 in late May 2020. The letter will contain placement scores, math course enrollment and bridge information. A separate email for Bridge registration will be sent to families after initial placement letters are available. The appeal process guidelines will be linked in the communication and posted on the D181 website.

Summer Math Bridge
The D181 Summer Bridge Program offers identified students an opportunity to place into the advanced or accelerated trajectory. This year’s dates will be June 10-July 1. The Bridge courses A and 1-5A/B will be held two hours per day and Bridge courses 6-8 will be held three hours per day. Each course will be taught via a virtual platform for the summer of 2020 because of the stay-at-home order. More details are available at Revised Summer Bridge Proposal.

5th Grade Common Writing Assessment and IAAT Scores
The District will distributing information soon regarding the Common Writing Assessment and the IAAT test scores. Once the scores are received, the District office will upload them into Skyward.
