This year TinkRworks will offer a STEAM weather station course for Madison children! In this program, students will build a weather monitoring system using an Arduino micro-computer and a variety of sensors that allow the collection of weather data. They will learn concepts such as sequencing, loops and conditionals to code their display to reflect weather conditions. During this class, students will dive into earth science, learning about the factors that affect weather, such as temperature and pressure. They will learn about how weather data is analyzed and used to build forecasts, and will even practice this with data collected from their own monitoring systems. This class is sure to be a blast for your soon-to-be climate scientist!
