Look for us at the Halloween Parade and All-School Meeting!
Even though it’s only October, it’s time to start thinking about how we can help bring holiday joy to local families in need.
There are families in our community that do not have the ability to provide a wonderful holiday for their children. Join the Madison School tradition of generosity and sponsor a child or family through the Community Holiday Gifts program. By participating in this activity with your child, you will teach them lessons about giving and generosity and how they can help children in their own community.
Members of the Community Holiday Gifts committee will be on-site at this year’s Halloween Parade so you may select the gift wishes you would like to fulfill. We have a table near the back entrance of the school, and will be in the hallway outside the gym before and after the All-School Meeting.
Another way to make a difference is by donating grocery gift cards, making a tremendous difference in our sponsored families’ holiday. You may donate at the Halloween Parade and All School Meeting, or you can also DONATE HERE using our online form.
Please join us in one of the things Madison School does best all year, wrapping Hinsdale with joy!

On October 23rd, food allergy educator and musician, Kyle Dine, will be performing at Madison School as part of his “Let’s Go Nuts!” tour. Food allergies are a growing concern in school communities across the county, including at Madison, where many students have life-threatening food allergies.
Mr. Dine has performed at over 500 schools across the U.S. and Canada to help educate children about food allergies including signs and symptoms, what students can do to help keep others with severe allergies safe and what do do in an emergency. When performing, he uses a creative blend of self-written songs, stories and trivia.
Mr. Dine’s message of kindness, friendship and safety are a key part of our social emotional learning goals for academic success. Parents are also invited to attend the program (1pm for grades K-2, 2pm for grades 3-5). The link below contains more information on the program and Kyle Dine.
