High Interest Day This Week!

High Interest Day is on Friday, May 24th! It is an interactive day where our 3rd - 5th grade students have a chance to see how the interests they develop now can turn into careers and hobbies they can pursue later in life. We have a terrific line-up of class offerings, which can be found HERE. We are in need of a few volunteers - if you are interested, please email highinterestday@madisonpto.org.

Donate Your Child's Used School Supplies

Madison students will have the opportunity to donate/recycle their gently used school supplies this year with the support of Kids Care Club. Supplies collected from Madison will be donated to Chicago area schools and organizations in need. Brown bags will be placed in each classroom for crayons, markers, pens, pencils, folders, spirals, notebook paper, scissors and other miscellaneous supplies. Please tell your children if they have your permission to donate their supplies and which ones they are able to donate. Questions or concerns can be directed to KidsCareClub@MadisonPTO.org. Thank you!

End of Year Gifts for Madison Teachers and Staff

Let's show our appreciation to our incredible Madison Teachers and Staff for their hard work this ‘23-‘24 school year!

Should you wish to thank any Madison teachers or staff with a monetary gift, the PTO is again using GiftCrowd to handle the collection of money and to distribute the group gifts directly to teachers and staff.

As always, these group gifts are completely optional and the monetary contribution is up to each family.

Please note that while teachers/staff will see which families contribute to the collective gift, the amount you contribute will be private.

Should you wish to contribute, please do so by Thursday 5/30. Gifts will be sent out electronically on Friday 3/31.

Gifts can be given to Madison Classroom teachers HERE!

All other Madison teachers (PE, Music, Art) and support staff can be gifted HERE!

Instructions:
1. Click on “Join” next to the Teachers and Staff you wish to gift.
2. Enter your student or family’s name as you'd like it displayed to each recipient. You are welcome to include a personal greeting or message to each teacher/staff.
3. Enter your contribution amount and click “Add to Cart.”
4. Repeat this process for all the teachers and staff you wish to gift. Then, enter your payment information and click on “Place your Order” to complete your transaction.

Thank you and please reach out to madisonroomparents@gmail.com with any questions or concerns.

'24-'25 Volunteer Opportunities

There are many opportunities to contribute to the success of Madison - whether you want to volunteer on a regular basis or help out for a one-time event. Sign-ups for these volunteer sports are now live and the link to the Sign-Up Genius is HERE. Please consider these things before signing up:

-Your availability. If you sign up for an event with a specific date it is expected you will be there for the full event. If an event is currently listed as TBD and a conflict arises in the future, please let the PTO Exec Board know and we will work to find a replacement.
-One time event vs. a commitment that spans the entire school year.
-We strongly encourage volunteers to sign up as a Chair only once, as many of these positions overlap on timing and require a high commitment. Feel free to sign up for as many committees as you like.

You can refer to THIS document for more information on these opportunities. Any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to the Exec board. You can email us at president@madisonpto.org.

PLEASE NOTE - Room Parent and Classroom Volunteer signups (including hot lunch and Art Awareness) will go live in the Fall after class assignments have been communicated. This sign-up will remain active until the beginning of the '24-'25 school year.
