Arabic Ink Mark-Making Workshop NEW!
In this hands-on workshop, young artists will explore the beauty of the Arabic writing system and its distinctive right-to-left direction. Using a brayer and black ink, participants will experiment with bold mark-making while learning to write Arabic words: love and peace (حب and سلام). This workshop explores how emotions can be translated through art and how visual language can express messages of peace and acceptance. Working from right to left invites participants to step beyond the familiar Latin system, engaging the brain in new ways of seeing and writing. Everyone will leave with a finished 8 x 11 artwork to proudly hang at home.
Be an Emergency Room Doctor
Paging the doctor! Step into the shoes of an ER doctor for a day! Have a patient with a broken bone? Learn how to apply a cast. Help an injured patient by learning how to suture and dress a wound. Don’t forget the injection to help the patient stay healthy. Learn and try it all - it’s your day to come to the rescue!
Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO Engineering NEW!
Have a blast using one-of-a-kind technic LEGO kits and model plans to construct motorized LEGO machines! The specialized kits incorporate gears, beams, axles, bricks, motors, and battery packs. You will follow step-by-step instructions to help build your motorized moving machines and then use the extra pieces to modify and decorate your machines!

An adventure awaits you at Camp Madison! Scout leaders will show you how to pitch a tent as you learn about camping skills in the great outdoors. Put your survival skills to the test as you work together, navigate with a compass, and embark on an exciting treasure hunt!

Turn your ideas into a designed space! Start with the basics of architecture by learning how rooms are planned and why spaces work the way they do. Then design your own dream bedroom blueprint using real design thinking, creativity, and problem-solving.
Escape Room NEW!
Calling all detectives! Paws the Panther is locked in a secret room at Madison and needs your help to get out before it is too late. Search for clues in a race against time to find the secret passcode key and give Paws back his freedom!
Fencing NEW!
Enjoy the art of fencing from a former Olympic fencer! You will learn the fundamentals of footwork, blade work and proper stance, and then engage in safe and friendly bouts with your classmates.
Firefighter for a Day NEW!
Experience firsthand what it’s like to be a firefighter! There will be an obstacle course challenge involving firefighter gear and equipment, and you’ll learn the ins and outs of the fire engine!
Game Design And Coding In Scratch
Do you love to play video games? Code Ninjas Westmont will teach you what happens behind the scenes to develop a video game. Dive into the endless world of Scratch 2.0 and code your own game. Students will collaborate with their peers and build a mini game in Scratch 2.0.

Glow Up - A Day at the Spa
In this interactive class, you will learn how to care for the largest organ in your body, your SKIN! Pamper yourself with a hydrating mini facial and make body butter to take home. Let’s learn the basics for a healthy skincare routine together because with a fresh face, you can accomplish anything!
Green Thumb Club
Create your own container garden filled with flowers, plants, and greenery. Learn how to keep your pot growing and bring it home to enjoy! We will also help make Madison greener and more beautiful by planting some perennial flowers at the school.

You are Cordially Invited to Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! We’ll be levitating around the laboratory mixing potions and performing other experiments.
Little Italian Chef’s Cooking Class NEW!
Put on your chef hat and apron and travel to Italy without leaving Madison School! In this hands-on cooking class, you will mix, roll, and shape homemade pasta while practicing Italian words along the way. Best of all – you get to bring home what you make! **Please note that you may leave covered in flour and speaking a little Italian! Ingredients used: flour, potatoes, eggs, salt, and olive oil.**
Make Your Own Soap
Get soap-er excited for this interactive session where you will learn how to make your own soap. You will get to customize the color, scent, and other surprises to make your own soap one-of-a-kind! Life’s too short to use boring soap, so stay sudsy in this class!
Martial Arts
Strive Martial Arts will instruct you in the art of self-defense. Students who complete this course will use their skills to break a board at the end of class!
Messy Chemistry
It’s time for SLIME!! Push up your sleeves, become a mad scientist, and make gorgeous, gooey, “how did that happen?” experiments! Have a blast while you create an explosion or two. Brew up Crazy Concoctions and create a mad masterpiece! Be prepared to get Messy and have a great time.
Mighty But Micro-Organisms
Ever wonder what microorganisms like bacteria, yeast and viruses look like? Come observe – using microscopes – microbes’ shapes and sizes. You will design a superbug, build a 3-D virus and see how it reacts to soap, and become a “microbiologist at home” with a special Petri plate experiment!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to serve on a jury? A crime has taken place at Madison Elementary School and it’s up to YOU to see that justice prevails. Come get an up-close look at the U.S. justice system in action!

The next Nike swoosh or McDonald’s golden arches?! In this class, you get to invent your own brand logo that represents you, then use design tools to create it and bring it to life!
Pediatric Anesthesiologist NEW!
Today you get to be a Pediatric Anesthesiologist – a doctor who helps children go to sleep safely for surgery and wake up feeling comfortable afterward. Your patient will be a stuffed animal, and you will take care of them just like a real doctor would! You will help your patient feel at ease, get medicine, wake up peacefully, and enjoy a treat at the end!
Pickleball
Join us to learn about pickleball – a paddle sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Pickleball was invented in the mid-1960s as a children's backyard pastime but has since become one of America's most popular growing sports among all ages. Learn the basic rules, technique and strategy of this fast-growing sport while having a ball with this fun and challenging game.

Do you want a fun way to store your stuff?! Learn to sew a felt pouch to hold your favorite accessories, pens and pencils, sunglasses, even your Nerf Darts -- or add a ribbon strap to make it a cool cross-body phone case! Choose from a variety of colors and designs from camouflage to polka dots, pick a thread color, and we’ll show you how to follow a simple pattern, cut out the shape, and sew up the sides with an easy stitch. You’ll even learn to sew on a button, too!
Stranger Things: Become a Mind Flayer NEW!
Ever wonder how the brain works? What makes us laugh, do math, act silly, or kick a ball? In this class, you’ll dissect a sheep’s brain and learn all about how this amazing organ controls our body, thoughts, and behavior.
Vet for a Day
Do you love animals? Come meet Dr. Baker from the Lane Veterinary Practice and her loyal companion, Vita. See what it is like to be a vet for a day! VIT’s (Vets-In-Training) will examine x-rays, perform “CPR”, and give a furry friend a check-up. **Please note students will be in close contact with a canine friend. Please do not choose this class if you or family members are allergic to dogs.**

In this class you will learn about new instruments that help you relax, like cool drums and bowls that can SING! You will learn to quiet your mind when it feels busy and have fun moving your body, too!
